A games Approach to
Problem Solving and Thinking Strategies Challenge your students’ logical, deductive and analytical skills with our thinking games and puzzles. Mind Sports Day provides an environment conducive to developing problem-solving ability as well as co-operative learning. Activities conducted also offer students a unique opportunity to explore their own potential for multiple intelligence. In each of the 3 stations, students must try to score as many points, using their own initiative and maximizing the use of their available resources. Students may solve the questions individually or as a team, scores will be recorded per score sheet per team. Competitions: IQ Puzzle Challenge (1 hour) Students are introduced to 35 different puzzles from around the world. As soon as their team has solved 15 different puzzles (totaling 60 points), they must proceed to solve 5 more difficult puzzles at the advanced section (maximum of 40 points). The winning team is the one that solves the most number of puzzles in the shortest time. Teams may earn instant prizes. IQ Logic (1 hour) Students will work in teams to work on the question sheets, manipulatives and score sheet.Questions involve students in applying skills in Mathematics and logical deduction.The teams that get the highest score win. Minimum of 3 prizes per event given to all team members. For large groups, we provide more prizes, example for a group of 300, we provide 6 prizes per event. Mind’s Eye (1 hour) Making use of different problem-solving approaches, this challenges students to solve mathematical problems using secret codes, visualization and cryptogram challenges.
