Four classmates Lee Peng Li, Kan Zi Xiang, Nigel Loo and the only rose among the thorns Yeo Hui Ting, went for the word game of Boggles. You could see the foursome deep in thought at forming words from the matrix of alphabets, though all of them were playing for the first time.

This game really makes you think!said 12-year old Hui Ting after a game with the boys. Nigel thought it was quite tough, but at least I get to learn new words playing with my friends. Peng Li, the modest winner with the highest score of 28 words, finds Boggles challenging. The four were awarded a prize each for participating.

Gongshang Primary at Tampines St 42 had a bigger gathering 11 classes of Primary 6 totalling 400 plus students! Melissa Chan, the teacher who co-ordinated the session, said: One good point about these games is that they are inter-disciplinary. And being inter-disciplinary, such games do go a long way in helping students (and therefore teachers) in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and even English or Chinese, as they move on to secondary school.
