  Games Around The World Training

  Press Release  12 October 2004

Fun and games after the Entrance exams for two primary schools

SINGAPORE - Noble Education's latest Games around the World presentations at Mee Toh and Gongshang primary schools were held this morning. The Company began its Games around the World sessions in May this year and has since conducted such sessions in more than 40 schools around the island.

An air of excitement filled the school hall of Mee Toh Primary at Tessenjohn Road as a team of Noble Education games trainers set up the stage for about 60 Primary 6 students.

Mrs Leong, Mee Toh's Head of Department for Mathematics who had earlier arranged for the presentation with Noble Education, said: The Primary 6 students have just completed their entrance exams. So we thought it would be a good time this morning to expose the students to these healthy pursuits!

After all, teachers do realise the value of games and would agree that games are not only a fun approach to learning but that they also set the students thinking on how to deal with processes such as problem solving and decision making.

That morning, the students at Mee Toh were introduced by games trainer Aidal to a variety of games  Boggles, Jenga, Maths Warriors, Snake Cube, Secret Case, IQ Logic, Rush Hour, Smart Cubes, 3D Tic Tac Toe, Air Tube and Guessture. After a lively demonstration of each of these games, some of which are easily favourites judging from the reaction of the students, trainer Aidal from Noble invited participants from the floor.
